The Glory of God

Metallurgical Fire This is an underground classic in certain circles, and it’s one of the best examples of religiously themed extreme metal. These guys sounded like no one else when the album was released, and their approach is still distinctive today. Labyrinthine drum patterns and complex arrangements abound for the more progressively minded metal fan. The band tightened up their songwriting for Anointing, but if you don’t mind long songs there are a lot of riches to unpack here.

Slevin A great fucking record. Sonics are mint. Stellar drumming, guitar riffs/ melodies,  high end bass playing and those vocals...
Ever changing and doesn't get boring.  Proper fuqoured. Give it a go

Chazz This record seriously blew me a way. Awesome collection of songs that draw from a wealth of influences, be it post-rock, death metal or classical. The wealth of talent Lo-Ruhamah brings to the table is likewise stunning. Amazing stuff. Favorite track: Torrents.

about

Pursuing both tranquility and violence, Lo-Ruhamah explore varied terrain in their full-length release "The Glory of God." Moving regularly from moments of aggressive extreme metal to the dissociative atmosphere of post-rock, the songs might be seen as akin to the ebb and flow of an ocean tide. Dynamics and contrast are central. Subdued and explosive passages highlight one another in an attempt to reach a certain peak of feeling within the tracks. Hope and darkness are inextricably tied together. Clocking in at just over an hour, "The Glory of God" is comprised of seven songs that work together as a whole. The effect is an album aimed at bringing even a small measure of freshness to the world of extreme music.
